Acroyoga @ Get A Grip

Acroyoga combines the sensibilities of yoga and the strength of acrobatics into a practice that starts approachable but expands as you progress.

We start with exercises and partner work to warm up our body and connect with each other in space. Then we will learn to lift and be lifted, with feet and hands, building strength and awareness. Flying teaches us to hold ourselves up by connecting our core to our entire body so that we can be held aloft by the base. While basing we learn how our core can create a connection between the ground, through their limbs, to the flier so that holding up another human becomes an exercise in skill rather than brute force. After finding poses we advance to the heart of the practice, shifting weight between limbs to move from pose to pose. We move through everything from upright balances to inversions and everything in between.

No partner necessary, the more people we work with the more we get to learn, play, and fly.
